Councils Urged to Take a Step in the Right Direction to Help Reduce NI Ecological Footprint and Save Householders Money. With householders facing the increasing pressures of the credit crunch and many having to make the decision this winter weather to eat or heat, senior council representatives attending the recent 'Ecological Footprinting Conference and Exhibition' - A Step in the Right Direction for Local Government have been urged to roll out a tried and test project ?the Community Eco-Challenge in their area to help householders. Feed back from the event was excellent with many council’s having expressed an interest in finding our more about the project and how they too can get involved. it’s leaving our planet in a sorry state, depleting our natural resources, contributing
to climate change and threatening species like the orang-utan and the polar bear
with extinction. Ecological footprint The Ecological Footprint is an excellent indicator that allows people to visually see the impact their lifestyle has on the environment. SMALL STEPS CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE!
