 If you are replacing your boiler, consider a condensing one. These are a few
hundred pounds more expensive than an ordinary one, but should save you up
to £130 per year in heating bills as they are more efficient.
 Insulate your attic – this will cost £200 - £300, but about a quarter of
heat lost from your home goes through your roof! There are sometimes
grants available to help you with the cost.
 Cavity wall insulation costs about £400, but you could save about £70 a
year on your heating costs.
