The things below require just a little more dedication, but still aren’t difficult! Even better, they will save you money!

Change some of you bulbs to energy efficient ones. If every household
in the UK fitted just one energy saving light bulb, enough electricity
would
be saved to power lighting in 3 million homes for a year! They
cost about £5, last about 12 times longer than an ordinary bulb, and
could save you about £10 a year! If each house installed three energy
saving bulbs, it would save enough energy to run the UK’s street lights for a year.
Get an insulation jacket for you hot water tank – they cost about £10 and
could save you between £10 and £30 per year. If every house in the UK
put a jacket on their tank, there could be a saving of over £150 million
of energy every year! (www.energywatch.org.uk)
Lag your hot water pipes – it will cost you about £1 a metre, and could
save you around £10 per year!
Line your curtains – a cheap way to help losing heat from your home
Fix a dripping hot water tap – in just one day, a dripping hot tap could
fill a bath!
